January marks a fresh start, but it’s also an opportunity to reflect.

Looking at the past year gives us clarity about what worked and what didn’t while helping us refine our ideas for the future. It’s not just about celebrating achievements but also about evaluating challenges and growth in a way that fuels continuous improvement. Reflection allows us to be more self-aware and better equipped to face new opportunities with purpose.

A message from our CEO: Navigating market shifts

The Future of Headless CMS

One of the most significant trends we saw in 2024 was the growing shift toward optimization features like personalization and A/B testing with headless CMS platforms. This shift shows that businesses are increasingly looking for ways to enhance user experiences, and with headless CMS systems, the future of digital experiences is becoming more dynamic and personalized. It's an exciting time, and we’re ready to lead the way.” - Jouko Huismans, Prepr CEO.

This shift, which we discussed in our post, The Future of Headless CMS, is an indication of the growing demand for personalized, user-focused experiences.

AI and the Impact on Content Management

AI has played a crucial role in shaping our content management features this year, accelerating the development of smarter and more efficient tools for content delivery. As AI continues to evolve, we expect its influence to grow even further in 2025, driving new capabilities that make content management even more intuitive and responsive to user needs.

New pricing model loved by agencies

In addition to product innovation, we introduced new pricing models designed with agencies in mind. Agencies have often struggled with complex pricing structures when working with headless SaaS platforms, but our new, clear, and flexible pricing model has made it easier for them to work with us.

Prepr Talks with our agency partners

Our collaboration with web agencies has been at the heart of our go-to-market strategy, and 2024 reaffirmed this path as the right one. Through our Prepr Agency Talks series, we’ve been able to explore important topics like “How do you stay relevant for your customers as a web agency?” with partners such as Bikkelhart, Greenberry, and Good News. These sessions have been a powerful reminder of the importance of partnership and shared vision in driving success.

Over the past year, Prepr has made fantastic progress. We’ve reached some exciting milestones, especially with our A/B testing and personalization features. Seeing these capabilities come to life in real-world projects has been both inspiring and rewarding. One of the most inspiring aspects of 2024 has been our growing collaboration with digital agencies. This year brought challenges for many agencies due to reduced market spending. Yet, we’ve seen great success in helping our partners innovate by building adaptive websites powered by Prepr.

Our in-depth strategy sessions with agency partners continue to be a source of energy and creativity. They remind us how powerful partnerships can be when we’re united by a shared vision.

Our commitment to user-driven development remains stronger than ever. Over the past period, we've conducted 8 customer roundtables with editors, agencies, marketers, and developers, incorporating valuable feedback through feature testing and design validation sessions. This direct engagement with our users continues to shape our product development and roadmap.

We launched a Complete Guide to Creating Adaptive Websites, a go-to resource that provides actionable insights and strategies for building dynamic, personalized web experiences.

Expert Training: How to create adaptive websites

To bring our guide to life, we hosted an Expert Training session focused on adaptive websites, offering step-by-step instruction and real-world examples. This training walked participants through the steps of creating adaptive websites, making it easier for them to deliver impactful digital experiences.

Workshop: Mastering content modeling

We also launched a workshop on how to master content modeling, designed to help users master one of the foundational aspects of Prepr’s platform. This interactive webinar dove deep into best practices, showing attendees how to structure content effectively for adaptive websites.

Building stronger bonds through team event

At Prepr, we believe that a strong, cohesive team is at the heart of our success. As an international team, we value collaboration and the unique perspectives that each team member brings. In 2024, we took team-building to a new level with a memorable boxing event, titled Fight for Team. This challenge wasn’t just about punches and jabs—it was about strengthening the bonds between our colleagues and building resilience as a team.

Much like our previous year’s padel tournament, this event pushed us outside our comfort zones and brought a sense of camaraderie and mutual support. It was a great reminder that teamwork goes beyond just the office.

On to 2025

As we move into 2025, it's time to build on everything we've learned and achieved in the past year. On both professional and personal level, 2024 has been a year of intentional progress. Our, CXO, Bernard Jan Boekholt, reflect on the powers of habits and continuous improvement: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” Inspired by this perspective, Bernard Jan reflects on how small, consistent changes has been transformative. “Old habits die hard, but small, intentional changes can have a lasting impact. Books like Atomic Habits by James Clear remind me that incremental progress leads to significant transformation over time,” he notes.

Just as habits help us grow personally, they also shape our work as a company. Looking back, we’re proud of how far we’ve come. Looking ahead, we’re excited to keep building, innovating, and collaborating with our partners to make 2025 a year of growth and success—for all of us.
