About Prepr
Prepr is a headless CMS that helps companies deliver personalized content across every channel. We publish our own thought leadership on content operations, data, and AI, across presentations, social media, and a book we're bringing to life, and we want the way that content looks to be as sharp as the thinking behind it.
We're looking for a freelance Infographic & AI Design Systems Designer to develop a distinctive and consistent visual system for our infographics.
You'll start by designing infographics and visual content for presentations, social media, and an upcoming book, turning ideas around content operations, data, AI, and CMS into visuals that are clear, engaging, and recognizably Prepr.
Alongside creating these first assets, you'll turn the visual approach into a practical AI-powered design system that our marketing team can use themselves. This includes templates, style guidelines, prompt libraries, reference examples, and repeatable workflows for creating consistent, on-brand infographics with AI.
The goal is to create both the visuals we need today and a scalable system for creating them in the future. Once the foundation is in place, our marketing team should be able to produce most infographics independently, with you returning periodically to review, refine, and evolve the system.

What success looks like
At the end of the initial project, we'll have a distinctive and consistent infographic style, a set of high-quality examples ready to use across presentations, social media, and our book, and a practical AI design system that our marketing team can use independently.
The system should make it easier for the team to turn new ideas and content into high-quality, on-brand infographics without starting from scratch each time.
Over time, we'll continue to work together periodically to review what the team is creating, refine the templates and workflows, and evolve the system as our needs and AI capabilities develop.
Freelance engagement
This is a project-based freelance engagement with an intensive initial setup phase followed by periodic ongoing support.
For the first 1–2 months, we expect to work together on a part-time basis to establish the infographic style, create the initial assets, and build and document the AI design system.
Once the system is established, we expect the engagement to move to approximately two days per quarter for review, refinement, and updates. The exact cadence can be adjusted depending on what the team needs.
The role is hybrid and based around our Utrecht office, with a combination of in-person collaboration and remote work. We'll agree on the working rhythm together.
The engagement will be based on a freelance agreement covering the usual terms, including confidentiality, intellectual property, payment, and termination.

What you'll do
Design our infographic system
- Turn complex ideas around content operations, data, AI, and CMS into clear and compelling infographics
- Create visual content for presentations, social media, and our upcoming book
- Develop a consistent visual approach for infographics, including typography, layout, information hierarchy, illustration, and data visualization
- Create reusable infographic formats and examples that establish a clear standard for future work
Build our AI design system
- Translate the infographic style into an AI-powered design system the marketing team can use independently
- Create templates, prompt libraries, style guidelines, and reference examples for producing on-brand infographics with AI
- Develop and document repeatable AI workflows for different types of infographics and visual content
- Define clear quality and brand guardrails for AI-generated output
- Train the marketing team to use the system and workflows effectively
- Review and refine the system as we learn what works in practice and as AI capabilities evolve
What we're looking for
Must have
- A strong portfolio demonstrating infographic, information, editorial, presentation, or data visualization design
- Proven ability to turn complex or technical information into visuals that are easy to understand at a glance
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, information hierarchy, and data visualization
- Hands-on experience using AI creative tools as part of a professional design workflow
- Experience creating templates, design systems, style guides, or visual toolkits that other people can use
- Strong proficiency in professional design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and/or Figma
- The ability to turn your own design process into clear guidelines and repeatable workflows
- Comfortable collaborating closely with a marketing team and handing over the system you create
Nice to have
- Experience working with B2B SaaS, technology, data, or other complex subject matter
- Experience designing for books, reports, or other long-form editorial content
- Experience creating scalable visual systems across different formats and channels
- Experience maintaining brand consistency across AI-generated creative work
