The healthcare and welfare sector in the Netherlands faces growing labor shortages. Demand for well-trained professionals continues to increase, while the inflow of new employees remains limited.
To address this challenge, the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport launched the Future-Proof Labor Market in Healthcare (TAZ) program, encouraging stronger regional collaboration between healthcare organizations and more sustainable employment models.
In Northern Netherlands, ZorgpleinNoord plays a key role in connecting employers, professionals and job seekers. As the regional employersâ organization for healthcare and welfare in Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe, the organization supports more than 300 affiliated institutions and helps professionals discover opportunities across the sector.
