How Radio Veronica Became a Popular Radio Station in the Netherlands

Radio Veronica, a popular Dutch commercial station, traces its roots back to the 1960s when it began as an offshore pirate radio. Broadcasting from international waters, it circumvented Dutch broadcasting laws. In the 1970s, following the ban on offshore pirate radio, it transitioned into a legal land-based station. Despite multiple changes in ownership, its popularity in the Netherlands remains undiminished. Presently, it caters to a wide audience, offering a blend of classic rock, pop, and modern music, along with news and entertainment programs.
