Launching the new digital content platform of NPO Radio

The Dutch National Public Broadcaster NPO now uses Prepr for all its radio stations. Recently, Radio 4 went live with Prepr. A significant milestone in the digital transformation and realization of the content strategy of the NPO.

The radio market is changing rapidly. Listening habits are changing due to the rise of social media, music services such as Spotify, and the popularity of YouTube. Also, there are more and more ways to listen: live, podcasts, audio clips on websites, mobile apps, social media, and smart speakers. And listeners have more and more options to respond via apps and social media. These trends triggered the NPO to implement a new content management system for all radio stations.

NPO selected Prepr as the new central content management platform for all radio brands. During the project, the team renewed the digital content infrastructure of NPO Radio. All content and data have been streamlined and centralized. This result provides a fundamental basis for developing new content experiences.

With Prepr for radio, the NPO can now distribute audio and video content effortlessly to all their websites, apps and social media, and create outstanding audio experiences for the listeners of tomorrow.
